Since its establishment in 1884, "Ueda Jeweller" has held the distinction of being Japan's oldest and most prestigious private fine jeweler. Rejecting mass production and maintaining an exclusive flagship-only philosophy, they have relentlessly pursued "creations to be cherished across generations," holding a uniquely singular place in the history of Japanese jewelry. Since opening their boutique alongside the grand opening of the historic Imperial Hotel in 1923, they have continued to weave their legacy in the very same location, beloved by celebrities and connoisseurs of true quality both in Japan and internationally.

This exquisite brooch shines with a particularly extraordinary radiance even within the illustrious history of Ueda Jeweller. During the 1970s and early 1980s, Japan’s elite jewelers—led by houses like Mikimoto—unlocked precious archives of design drawings from the Taisho to early Showa periods, pouring the entirety of their savoir-faire into reviving the aesthetic of the Art Deco era.
