日本を代表するジュエリーデザイナー・梶光夫氏の次男であり、自身もGIA G.G.資格を取得、JJAデザインアワード最高賞「日本ジュエリー大賞・経済産業大臣賞」を受賞した梶武史氏による、芸術性の高いリングです。

父・梶光夫氏はジュエリーデザイナーとして長年活躍する一方、ヨーロッパの宝飾芸術やエマーユを深く研究・収集。その長年にわたるコレクション約150点は2024年に国立西洋美術館へ寄贈され、2025年には同館で「梶コレクション展―色彩の宝石、エマーユの美」が開催されました。
国立西洋美術館の所蔵作品として残されていることは、日本のジュエリー文化におけるその存在の大きさを物語っています。

その美意識と宝飾文化への深い造詣を受け継ぐ梶武史氏。
本作にも古典宝飾芸術への敬意が感じられます。

主石は、澄みきった天然アクアマリン。
その内部には、一艘の船と、天使がインタリオによって精緻に刻まれています。

特に目を惹くのが、左右の人物像がまるで合わせ鏡のように見える構成。透明度の高いアクアマリンの中で、彫刻された天使が反対側にも浮かび上がるように見えるギミックは、単純に彫刻を施しただけでは生まれない、石の透明度、厚み、角度、彫刻の位置、そして光の入り方までが複雑に作用して生まれる美しい視覚効果です。

あえて濃色のアクアマリンではなく、透明感のある一石が選ばれているのも、このインタリオを美しく鑑賞するためのこだわりを感じさせます。

中央のインタリオを一枚の絵画に見立て、その周囲をK18の装飾的なフレームで取り囲み、さらに四隅には深いアクアマリンを4石配置。額縁までが一つの作品として完成されています。

アクアマリンは古くから航海の守護とされてきた宝石。そして本作には、その「海」を思わせるアクアマリンの中に、一艘の船と天使が描かれています。

An exceptionally artistic ring created by Takeshi Kaji, son of legendary Japanese jewelry designer Mitsuo Kaji. Takeshi Kaji is a certified GIA G.G. and the highest award winner of the JJA Design Award (Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award).

His father, Mitsuo Kaji, has long been active as a jewelry designer while passionately researching and collecting European jewelry arts and enamels. His lifetime collection of approximately 150 pieces was donated to the National Museum of Western Art in 2024, followed by the special exhibition "The Kaji Collection: Jewel of Color and the Beauty of Enamel" at the museum in 2025. The inclusion of his collection in the museum's permanent holdings speaks volumes about his monumental presence in Japanese jewelry history.

Inheriting this profound aesthetic sense and deep knowledge of the jewelry arts, Takeshi Kaji demonstrates a profound respect for classical ornamental traditions in this piece.

The center stone is a crystal-clear natural aquamarine, intricately hand-carved using the intaglio technique to reveal a sailing ship and an angel within.

Particularly captivating is the composition, where the figures on either side appear mirrored like a reflection. Within the highly transparent aquamarine, the carved angel seems to float and emerge on the opposite side. This optical phenomenon cannot be achieved simply by carving; it is the result of a complex interplay of stone transparency, thickness, angle, carving placement, and the way light enters the gem.

The deliberate choice of a transparent, luminous aquamarine rather than a heavily saturated stone reflects an uncompromising commitment to showcasing the intaglio in its most breathtaking form.

The central intaglio is treated like a painting, framed by an ornate K18 gold decorative mounting, and accented with four deep aquamarine stones at the corners. The entire structure feels like a completed work of art, right down to its frame.
